37 WEEKS & 2 DAYS!!

Here are finally some more belly pics! I can't believe that we only have 3 weeks (hopefully less, probably more) left! Crazy!! At my last Dr. appointment the doc checked me and I was not
dilated or effaced one bit! :( Bummer! I was hoping to hear that my body had started to prepare for labor... nope! :) So... I am going to rely on some "help". Warning, going to get a little personal...
My sister told me about this natural supplement called Red Raspberry that is supposed to assist in thinning and softening the cervix. Any thoughts from anyone who has heard of this
product and/or has tried it? Or does anyone have any other suggestions to help drive along the process? Advice is always welcome! Ok, here are the pics! Enjoy the belly! :)

  1. I have heard about Red Raspberry in tea to get things started. I was overdue and tried everything possible...Walk, walk, walk! I also would sit on an exercise ball and do circular motions with my hips to help the baby drop (she never did!). You can try spicy food too. I've also heard that pineapple and/or eggplant have been known to help?! Someone told me to try jumping jacks, but that sounded too painful! So many wive's tales haha. If you're like me, you're starting to feel REALLY pregnant and SO ANXOUS to meet your baby that you just can't wait! Be patient though. He'll come when he's ready. All the best to you and your little family. These next few weeks are really special. Can't wait to hear your baby news!

  2. Hey Maegan! LOVE the pictures! Obviously I'm not the best person to be giving any advice, because as I sit here my little man is 4 day overdue and not showing any signs of coming out ANYTIME soon... But I have heard thousands of ideas. I hough I'd give you, what I consider, the best advice I've been given so far. A labor and delivery nurse friend of mine called yesterday after my {yet another} frustatig appointment, where I was checked and found to have still absolutely NO progress. She told me the only thing most of the people in her field truly believe and recommend working is sex (how's that for personal ;D). The rest being quackery and only coincidental if it worked. The reason being, she said, is that the medicine they give you to induce you is very similar, and almost quite literally, the same substance as semen. It's supposed to thin and help dialate the cervix. Now, that being said, my husband has had probably the best week, two weeks, of his life (ah ha ha so personal AGAIN, I'm totally blushing) and look where I'm at. Soooooo.... WHO KNOWS?! the only other advice she gave that I'm sure you'll love to hear just as much as I did was do things hat are going to help you relax. She said it's when you finally relax and give in that he'll come i.e. Pedicures, massages, extra sleep, etc. (none of hose for actual medical reasons of working but relaxing you). Anyway. I've written you a novel... Good luck with everything! Ill hope for you that you go into labor his week! I would never wish being late on anyone.

  3. You look adorable!! I tried Castor Oil (mixed with OJ) with my 2nd at 38 weeks, and I was in labor 6 hrs later! I know it doesn't work for everyone, and it is supposedly an old wives tale, but I was miserable and was ready to try anything! I tried walking, jumping on the trampoline, pineapple, spicy stuff, sex.... and the castor oil worked for me (just have a bathroom nearby cause it cleans you out!!) With that said, just be patient! : )My neighbor told me this amidst all my craziness the last couple of weeks- "Your little one is getting his last instructions in heaven on how to survive this crazy life." : ) Good luck! I am so excited to see pics of your little guy!

  5. I tried everything to induce labor with my first, even acupuncture. Nothing worked. I was induced instead (because he was big).
